Home Purchase Timeline

Prepare

Analyze your finances to determine what you can afford. Take a look at your credit score to determine if you need improvement. Start budgeting for the down payment, closing costs and moving fees.

Offer Accepted

Make an offer on the property you like, but be prepared to negotiate! Once your offer is accepted, make your escrow payment and schedule the home inspection.

Mortgage Underwriting

Send a copy of your contract agreement to your loan officer to begin the mortgage application process. Your conditional approval will typically require an appraisal, additional documents, title and home insurance.

Re-Inspection and Final Walk-Through

Ensure all agreed-upon repairs are completed and the property is in satisfactory condition.

Closing

Once the mortgage is approved, your closing documents will be available to sign!
